The same day we visited White Robin Farm (last Saturday) we drove around and visited the small towns nearby. Stockholm is a village comprised of about 200 people. The town is charming and was in the midst of celebrating. Sounds curious, right?

The large structure in the background was built just to burn down. Yes, this was the celebration, the burning of art, called "fire sculpture". Not sure if this is some Norwegian custom but it struck me as a little odd. The smaller shaped critters, boats and geometric shapes aligning the lake are lanterns with internal candles that would shine in the dark, they were not to be burnt. All this was to happen at sundown. I admit we didn't stay that late. Yes I was curious but we had a really long drive.
